Title – Assistant Front of House Manager 

Description – Ash & Elm Cider Co. is seeking a full-time Assistant Front of House Manager. This person will report directly to and work in tandem with the General Manager to ensure restaurant operations are consistent, any issues are resolved, and all front-of-house staff are supported in their roles.  The role is primarily a customer service role; however, the Assistant FOH Manager will be first-in-line to support the GM as needs arise. A positive attitude, excellent customer service, and strong work ethic are required. A flexible and open schedule is required, as staffing needs may change throughout the week. 

Responsibilities  

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and excellent leadership to employees 

  • Prepare and coordinate FOH staff for the day’s needs 

  • Handle guest complaints and issues according to provided guidelines 

  • Supervise all opening and closing duties of the outlets and ensure that they are completed correctly

  • Ensure cleanliness of the restaurant  

  • Assist with large party coordination, brew bus tours, special events etc.

  • Responsible for the correct operation of the POS systems 

  • Balance daily and nightly cash drawers and POS by assigning and maintaining money management procedures  

  • Maintain and execute training documents for different FOH positions

  • Complete inventory and maintenance of par levels and organization for front of house items and those used within the restaurant 

  • Enforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standards in FOH 

  • Work closely with the Back of House Manager to provide a seamless experience 

Compensation - This position starts at $10/hour plus tips. Full-time employees receive paid holidays, PTO, and an employer-matched 401K in addition to company-related discounts and perks. 

Suggested Experience – The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 2 years of experience working in the food and/or beverage industry. Being personable and friendly with a variety of customers is integral to the position. Good communication skills and a willingness to work with others, as well as an interest in being a part of a small-business, is also a requirement of the job.
