Title – Prep/Line Cook
Description – Ash & Elm Cider Co. is seeking a full-time and part-time Prep/Line Cook for both the downtown Indianapolis and Carmel taproom locations. Prep/Line Cook duties will consist of preparing all dishes and assisting the kitchen manager with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. Weekday and weekend availability is preferred.
Responsibilities
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, slicing meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report to, and follow kitchen manager’s instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Required/Preferred Experience
Awareness of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Ability to focus and prioritize on the fly
Ability to maintain a cool head under pressure
Strong communication skills
Ability to cooperate and work well with other members in a small team
Preferred one-year of line cook experience
Compensation - This position pays $16-$19 per hour, based on experience. Full-time employees have paid time off, an employer-matched IRA, and other benefits.
